Did You Take a Bath Today?

This article will help you change your perception on bathing and hygiene. Do not forget to read the Microbiome and Emotions and Energy section.

As I started to live with more presence and awareness my body began to detest the chemical soaps and body washes I normally used. I started feeling pukish with the popular brands I used. My choices of soaps and bodywashes became more and more expensive and more and more natural and then the opposite spectrum- more indigenous, home made and sustainable. I began researching eco-friendly alternatives for my personal hygiene and household cleaning—including options for washing clothes.

I experimented with elite brands made with essential oils as well as kitchen products like ubtan from besan (gram flour) and other substances for bathing, powders made from dried reetha and shikakai etc. They all worked quite well. But weirdly even though I would take bath two or three times a day - I started skipping all forms of soap as my frequency started rising more and more (Thanks to all the breathwork ).

Weirdly enough - my body felt better and better just with water too. My skin was glowing, my body (mouth, armpits and genitals) did not have unpleasant odours. In fact, a lot of people were more and more attracted to me. I felt confident raising my arms and moving closer to people. Some were verbal enough to even mention - my body had a good fragrance while I discretely smiled knowing the secret. An ENT doctor I dated, even said it is a great relief to his over-stimulated olfactory nerve - the nerve that is responsible for transmitting smell signals - which would smell hospital cleansers and OT disinfectants, strong perfumes of people and places all the time. That is when I truly acknowledged what I had discovered. Primal Instinct  - You know just like animals get attracted to their partners by their distinct odour - so do humans too, provided you allow your natural scent to flow - (more about this in Energy section).

Its been 6+ years since I have stopped using soaps and cleansers and lotions - huge transition coming from someone who used numerous brands of makeup and beautifying products. Maybe that was my journey from feeling not good enough - to just enough and beautiful and joyful within!

This experience got me to question everything about our personal grooming!

Are we overcomplicating things?

How much have we  been conditioned to believe that we are untidy and need something to feel clean? In extreme cases we see OCDC in people who wash their hands and body with soap multiple times. These are clear mental health red flags - deep rooted lack, feeling unappreciated, unacknowledged, dirty, and wrong!

When I further researched  - This is what I found:

Traditionally humans lived for *2.5 million years* without modern chemicals, soaps, or shampoos—but they did use cleaning or rinsing methods:

ash, clay, oils, natural herbs and friction (rubbing with natural scrubbers like sand , mud and later jute and cloth) frequent rinsing in rivers filled with microalgae and natural essences from the river beings - plants and animal life as and when they found them - not always.

Only after industrialisation and chemicalisation, did media and advertising *begin conditioning people* to believe that without soap, they are not clean.

Narratives that serve profit for a few were used to promote products that had chemicals to shut down the natural fragrance. What did this do - Shut down the awareness (Go to Energy Section Now for more). I see this as part of a deeper issue—

*the poverty consciousness* - which is a conditioning. From teaching money and abundance workshops to thousands of humans across the globe - I know the basic issues are all the same across all the cultures -  to fit in and belong, we greed for brands and styles - even in personal grooming.

The human microbiome.—and the “villain” called soap!

As I dived deeper, I came across something fascinating:

Our human body is made up of human cells and non-human cells.

The number of human cells is roughly ~30 trillion (3 × 10¹³). This includes skin cells, muscle cells, nerve cells, and blood cells - all types of cells  comprising the organs and skeletal system and all parts of our body - nails to hair.

The number of non-human cells is roughly ~30–40 trillion microbial cells, slightly more than human cells. Mostly living in: gut (majority), skin, mouth, respiratory and urogenital tracts - these are the good bacteria - or bacteria in a balanced state. Almost all illness can be traced to an imbalance of these good bacteria in our body.

I was awestruck  after learning non-human cells are actually more than human cells!!

For millions of years, we have lived in a symbiotic relationship with them. We host them, and in return, they support us—helping with

-gut health and digestion,

-Immune System support,

-maintaining balance,

-producing micro nutrients and most importantly,

-mental health - yes, you heard me right

This also makes you reflect on human connection: a mother’s touch, a father’s warmth, a grandparent’s hug, or food made with love. These are not just emotional exchanges, they also involve subtle biochemical sharing, including microbes that shape our internal world.

Babies born through natural birth tend to receive a richer microbial exposure compared to those born via C-section, which can influence early microbiome development.

Our skin and what we put on it is very important. Our skin is the largest organ of the body. It absorbs certain substances—this is why things like nicotine patches work, delivering chemicals directly into the bloodstream. That is how chemical creams leech chemicals into the body - enter the microbiome through the skin barrier.

The microbiome is not just in the gut—it also lives on the skin. Different parts of the body host different microbial communities: the chest, back, and face—each has its own ecosystem - this is well established in dermatology. And this microbiome on our skin is considered the first line of defence - your external bodyguard - they block

* harmful bacteria,

* compete with each other for space and nutrients,

* and reduce chances of infections.

* They help regulate oil (sebum) production and pH levels, which keeps your skin from becoming too dry or too oily.

* They also reduce body odour (yes, really!).

But actually it is the second  - the first being your Energy Body -(Go to Energy Section Now!)

Now, take a look at the back of a soap package. It often says: *“Kills 99.9% of germs.”* First, they called your friends - natural bacteria and microbiome as germs so that they could scare you. And then they used this to sell soaps! Master Gaslighting - Instill fear and subtle control. By the way, soap doesn’t always kill microbes, but it does wash away 99% of the microbiome. Even so called hand made organic soap is as harmful as any other soaps. Our body is self healing and knows how to deal with any external energy naturally. Even surgeons use linen gauze - a fabric with 5000 Hz frequency to naturally trigger the healing. - (Read Blog on Fabric and its Frequency here )

Thanks to all those unaware celebrities who sold any product for money and helped corporates to keep large part of the population conditioned. They have their own mental health issues - just like anyone in this ecosystem chain - the investor, the manufacturer, the packager, the distributor, the salesperson, the media, the celebrity and the consumer and finally the doctor, and eventually the garbage collector or scavenger. - (Read Blog on The Cycle of Consumption and Mental Health  … )

Our microbiome is resilient and can repopulate, but constant disruption may affect long-term balance and has been linked to *chronic health issues*.

That said, soap does have its place as medicinal. Not to be used as a daily consumption - like a commodity unless of course one is unwell - which largely urban population is - mentally and physically unwell. In medical contexts, infections, or situations like wounds or animal bites, it can be very helpful. (Jump to Energy Section - to understand this better)

Ancestral wisdom: Our ancestors had a simple guideline:

*“Don’t put anything on your body that you wouldn’t eat.”*

It’s a thought-provoking idea—inviting us to be more mindful of what we use.

*The Water Bath Experiment:*

As if on gut instinct, I started bathing with just water - plain cold water. Much to my amusement - I enjoyed and played with the cold water for as much time as I felt in the shower. Just allowed the stress and worries of the day pass by. I enjoyed touching my body and feeling the water run down the head and the spine and the legs. I felt refreshed and on checking- smelt good. Wiped myself dry till the next bath. This became a regular habit and I would love to get into the shower to do it again. No more were bath times boring and I stopped procrastinating baths (I realise now - it wasn’t the bath - it was the soap - the chemicals that my body and I resisted.)

Permaculture Farm Trip - A farm that uses no chemicals and natural food forest concept.

Another time during a permaculture farm trip -  we were told to walk barefoot on the farm. Just like most people the thought of stones, prickly things, insects, dung and manure shot across my head. But being a person who wouldn’t back out  -  I prayed and moved ahead. Nothing really hurt me and for the next few days I learned to be very present and receive signals from the EARTH and my feet - stepping carefully and lightly. Star Sideeffect  -  I noticed after a few days - My cracked heels had healed, my feet were cleaner and more nourished than the most expensive Pedicures! -  I was shocked! My belief systems about a lot of things - bathing, cleanliness, hygiene, mud, dung, insects, barefoot, shoes and so much more had changed.

I realised my body was healing itself when I did not interfere with it.

This is a concept referred to as a *“skin reset”*:

* The body gradually reduces excess oil production as the oils deplete each time one uses soaps - chemical or organic.

* The natural microbiome stabilises and thrives bringing out ones’ natural essence.

* Body odour (the defence of the bacteria who fight back the chemicals) decreases as balance is restored.

Now the Energy Part -  CONGRATS - IF YOU REACHED HERE YOU TRULY ARE ENERGY SENSITIVE AND PROBABLY READY FOR TRANSFORMATION.

Myth Busters

  1. The Energy Body or the Aura is the first Layer not the Skin which is the second layer.

  2. You are not like others and do not have to belong together. In fact you are unique!

  3. Invasion of Boundaries doesn’t start at the physical body or skin by application of the soaps or cosmetics - but at the mind level.

  4. Your thoughts are manipulated to hijack your energy which in turn shows the effect on the body as addictions and illnesses and disease..

We all have a unique natural scent aligned with our unique energy imprint, unique soul blueprint, unique chemical imprint, unique DNA, unique fingerprint. And none of the above matches another persons 100%. We have similarities in energies yet holding our unique flavours. This is what makes each of us special! Using common soaps and perfumes which are not your own - destroys your essence and messes with your microbiome.

What does this mean ?

A person who has a creative instinct, a musician, a poet, a carpenter, a coach, a teacher, a businessman, a thief, a cheat, a narcissist, an empath and all other identities have a distinctly different body odour. Each has different vibrations and different patterns of thoughts that create their belief systems which lead to their unique personalities which leads to their character traits and actions in reality.

This natural scent - Primal Instinct of yours is what tells others about your essence non cognitively. It helps you find the right partner for sex. It helps you find the right friends, the right people to work with. In absence and masking of this - we make mistakes, we land up with wrong people and deal and attract trauma in our lives. If you truly wish to know a person - smell him without any mask of soap or perfume - natural scent.

Our thoughts come from underlying vibrations and our essence which birth from the senses that stir us.

Not only our 5 senses - vision, audio, smell, touch and taste but also the 8 psychic senses-

clairvoyance, clairaudience, claircognizance, clair sentience, clairsalience, clairgustance, clairempathy, clairtangency.

We all have all the above senses including an innate psychic sense of smell that perceives scents without a physical source is known as clairsalience or clairolfaction.

This psychic ability involves perceiving and receiving body odours that offer insight into people. A lot of information such as whether a person is an evolved being, a cheat, a power player, a manipulator, a romantic, a mean or a trustworthy person can be received when this sense is tapped into which can smell the unique microbiome of a body.

When a person uses perfumed soaps, organic or chemical, it camouflages the true essence. And mostly people even say it - “I have to cover my smell”- they have something to hide. Simply put, we lose the ability to smell the traits of people around us like animals can.

Deodorants are used to cover smells that are not nice and they further aggravate those dingy smells due to the chemicals which alter the microbiome in them. The chemicals used in soaps, deodorants, perfumes - synthetic or organic block the natural scent by altering the microbiome and giving mixed or wrong signals to the environment. Most people lose their own sense of identity or identify with the new mask of fragrance that they are wearing.

Soaps or Cosmetics or Perfumes generally have 3 layered notes - top, heart and base - completely masking the true essence of a person not only for others but self too. As there is no sense of identity or purpose left. All wearing the same perfumes aspire similar choices - in music, fashion, travel, jobs, work etc. People generally pick perfumes that they aspire to be - romantic, masculine, earthy, citrus etc. If we understand the psychology - this is actually what they believe they lack and try to artificially cover up..

So a person who is serious and controlling tries to mask it with a fruity, citrus perfumed soap to show up as light and fun loving.

Someone who has lesser masculine energy will pick a masculine fragrance soap to mask that and portray himself as more masculine and so on.

Someone who feels not good enough uses soaps and perfumes to feel good enough.

But the opposite reaction happens as the good bacteria react to it. This destroys the microbiome of bacteria which give him the feeling of being good enough and in reaction more ‘not good enough’ bacteria are populated and he feels more ‘not good enough’. He now feels ‘good enough’ only when he uses that soap or perfume which is altering and masking his microbiome - eventually addicting him to this particular type of perfume. His underlying feeling of ‘not good enough’ would naturally be healed by the body if acknowledged and allowed to reset is triggered and is now a deeper issue which may lead to various illnesses such as acne, rosacea, eczema, psoraisis, tumours, cancers etc.

Boundaries

A lot of Mental Health talk is about boundaries. Your microbiome is your body’s boundary and is invaded physically by external fragrances - organic or chemical. Our microbiome has a natural ability to balance itself. But if we bombard it with fragrances- the skin barrier breaks down. But even before that the energy barrier and the mind body have been broken down with -

Misinformation - promotion of benefits - over use causes issues too while body can reset itself easily.

Media promotion - creating a FOMO and need to belong in a group by similar consumption just like drugs

Society Conditioning - Creating similar group behaviour leading to lifestyle diseases.

In such ways chemicals used in gaslighting and controlling the mass consumption behaviour. Natural energy and microbiome of humans is jeopardised.

Awareness is hacked which leads to Pineal Gland Calcification - You no more can sense and keep falling into the same patterns of illness and behaviours and relationships.

The truth is that in essence we are all complete and unique. Our individual blue prints are powerful to achieve what we are here to achieve. But due to a so called perfected ideal persona we believe we lack and try to fill that gap.

 Microbiome Interaction & Effects

Soaps and Perfumes don't just "sit" on the skin; they interact with specific bacterial families that act as biological filters causing side effects in energy systems as well as on the skin.

Bacterial Family & Use

Primary   "Invasion"        Area

Effect on              Fragrance

Microbiome Health Impact

Diseases caused by Excessive Growth

Corynebacterium - antimicrobial, inhibit pathogens, metabolism of sweat

Moist areas (underarms, groin)

Metabolizes sulfur compounds to deepen musky or woody notes.

High synthetic exposure can deplete these, leading to odor-causing imbalances.

Diphtheria, blood stream infections, immunodeficiency, heart valve infections, infections from catheters, pneumonia, erythrasma, pitted keratolysis, trichobacteriosis, chronic breast infections, bladder or kidney infections with stones, prostatism, urethrytis.

Staphylococcus - maintains skin barrier, suppress other pathogens

Broad skin surface (arms, neck)

Breaks down volatile top notes, causing fresh/ citrus scents to fade faster.

Overuse of alcohol-based sprays can kill beneficial S. epidermidis, weakening the skin barrier.

Skin and soft tissue infections, boils, pus filled pockets, impetigo, folliculitis, cellulitis, skin peeling, food poisoning, mastitis- infection of breast tissue.Serious - septic shock, organ failure, endocarditis, osteomyelitis, pneumonia, toxic shock syndrome.

Cutibacterium - most abundant healthy state, maintains skin homeostasis, lipid modulation, pathogen competition, oxidative stress mitigation

Oily areas (face, back, chest)

Metabolizes lipids to amplify creamy, sweet, or balsamic accords.

Phthalates in perfumes can disrupt these bacteria's  natural lipid regulation, causing dryness or   sensitivity.

Acne, atopic dermatitis, rosacea lesion, psoriasis, SAPHO syndrome, Sarcoidosis, Autoinflammatory bone disease - CRMO,PMH- pigment disorder, infections on pacemakers, neurosurgical shunts, shoulder prostheses.

The Cycle of Fragrance (soap/ perfume, organic/ chemical)  Addiction

Fragrance addiction is often classified as a behavioral or "shopping" addiction driven by the brain's reward system.

  1. The Trigger (Anticipation): The brain associates specific scents with memories or "power" vibes. The direct link between the olfactory bulb and the limbic system (the emotional center) triggers an immediate psychological response.

  2. The High (Dopamine Release): Smelling or purchasing a new fragrance releases "feel-good" neurochemicals. This is especially potent because scent bypasses the thalamus (the brain's rational filter) and goes straight to emotion.

  3. The Compensation (Tolerance): If a perfume performs poorly due to a disrupted microbiome or "nose blindness" (olfactory fatigue), users often over-apply or buy stronger, more expensive scents to achieve the same emotional hit.

  4. The Crash & Repeat: The temporary "shopper's high" or confidence boost fades, leading to an impulsive need to research or buy the next "holy grail" scent to fill the void.

3. Biological Risks of Over-Exposure

Continuous "bombardment" of the microbiome and respiratory system with synthetic chemicals can lead to several documented issues:

  • Endocrine Disruption: Common fixatives like phthalates and synthetic musks can mimic hormones, potentially affecting reproductive health and thyroid function.

  • Cytotoxicity: At low dilutions, many perfumes show cytotoxic (cell-damaging) effects in laboratory settings.

  • Sensitization: Ingredients like Limonene or Linalool can oxidize on the skin, turning from pleasant scents into potent allergens that cause contact dermatitis

This is a problem created by humans for themselves and can be easily resolved. Our bodies are super intelligent. All the excess of bacteria are created in reaction to excess external stimuli from fragrances. Simply stop overstimulating and the body will stop reacting. Do a olfactory fast -  Stop using all fragrances on the skin. Stop using soaps or over cleaning. The skin will reset. The microbiome will balance itself.

While this is easier said than done. Because the root cause is not the external one - it is the internal emotional system - the need to be beautiful, the need to be appreciated, the need to be accepted, the need to be loved, the need to be acknowledged and the need to belong. This is not a complete list but will set you on the way - everytime you wish to use a perfume or soap or fragrance - Ask - What do I truly need ? What am I feeling now?

If we truly put our heart to it, we can deaddict self from this cycle and choose to balance our microbiome. It may have great side effects -  such as - Self Love, Acceptance, Beauty inside out, Balanced Emotions and so on!

Your Energy is Valuable - it is your Truth! It's worth protecting!
